Billy
Meet Billy, the sonic sorcerer who’s been electrifying Edmonton’s nightlife for over a quarter-century. This guy was destined for greatness from the moment he clinched third place in the Grant MacEwan High School Battle of the Bands – which, let’s be real, was basically a sign from the rock gods to never look back.
Billy’s musical journey began with the classics: Jimi Hendrix, KISS, and Led Zeppelin, but his teenage rebellion took him down the dark, delicious path of heavy metal. Imagine a young Billy, headphones on, thinking, “Screw the acoustic, I’m here for the distortion.”
With metal roots so deep they could be considered archaeological finds, Billy has evolved into what we can only describe as an “electric assassin.” He’s shredded with bands like Black XIII (sounds like a metal band or a secret society, right?), Fear of City, Infernus (which definitely sounds like a place you wouldn’t want to visit unless there’s a concert), and the intriguingly named Welfare Tuxedo. He’s played every venue in Edmonton, including the moment he opened for WASP in 2004, which probably made him the unofficial mayor of Metalville.
Now, Billy brings that razor-sharp metal edge to Recall, slicing through the airwaves and igniting dance floors like a pyrotechnic display. His presence in the band isn’t just an addition; it’s a full-blown metal revolution, ensuring that every show is not just heard but felt in your very soul.
So, if you want your event to have that raw, head-banging energy, with a guitarist who’s more legend than local, Billy’s your man. With him, you’re not booking a musician; you’re summoning a metal maestro to turn your gathering into the concert of the century.
